Scene shows an alleyway with a building to the left of it and a building to the right of it. Both of the buildings are constructed in stone, the one one the left being clad in plaster, and they both seem to be residential buildings. From a set of photos from the Kirkwall project. Most are mounted on board (bar 2) and are black and white images of scenes around the town. Part of the Village Urban Analysis Study undertaken by Second Year architectural students in academic session 1968-69. Project was once housed in a cover constructed from a cardboard box, but due to the space available/condition of the card, it has not been placed inside a plastic wallet.
