Artist's statement:
"Constructed’ celebrates the wealth of visual and tactile elements found on a building site. Through photographic documentation, I have allowed these visuals to influence my choice in yarn and material. In addition, construction methods and processes have inspired the surface applications and techniques which I have used. My illustration work aims to encapsulate the many characters I met when collecting research for this body of work. Although protective clothing worn by builders serves to unify them, through my illustrations I hope to also highlight their individual qualities."
