The Patrick Allan-Fraser of Hospitalfield Trust, a registered charity, was created by Patrick Allan-Fraser himself and was activated on his death in 1890. Over the years students are given the opportunity to study at Hospitalfield. Well known artists who are represented in the collection such as Henderson Blyth, Ian Mckenzie Smith, Frances Walker, Sandy Fraser, Will McLean and Joyce Cairns have all received scholarships to study and live in the Scottish baronial mansion.

The principle aim of the Trust has always been to encourage young artists in their chosen discipline.
