Description:

Part of a collection of 45 sewing, knitting and embroidery specimens and two pieces of patterned paper from (one of?) the Kildare Place Model Schools in Dublin. Held in 14 sleeves within a modern binder

Sleeve 8 Sample of 1) miniature knitted woollen hat or muff with plaited strings and tassel in red green and magenta wool, 10x5cm exc. tassel 2) plain knitted woollen scarf with tasselled fringe in magenta 10x4cm 3) knitted woollen square (miniature shawl?) in magenta and green stripes with tasselled fringe,17 x 17cm, 12 x21cm. The label here obscured. 4) Knitted woollen miniature cape in fawn and white with tasselled borders and plaited neck ties,12 x21cm. This labelled "Eleventh Class, 8 Specimen"

Sleeve 8 reverse 1) cotton circle 8cm dia. and 2) & 3) cotton squares, 11.5x11.5cm and 9x9cm,all white on a pink background, with broderie anglaise . This page labelled twice “Twelfth Class Specimen”
