Artist's statement:
"Having strong interests in Videography, Editorial design, digital manipulation and collage a lot of my work takes reference from the likes of Leif Podhajsky, John Baldassari and Larry Carlson. My work has strong roots in psychology and the psychedelic, experimenting with digital manipulation, colour and text I try to create unique work that explores themes of nature, life and psychology; specifically memory, illusion and control, whilst keeping visceral elements within my designs. My visual literacy is dependant on experimentation and development within my work, however it usually features a strong link that identifies my design.
The Vinyl Effect explores themes of psychology, mainly focusing on the theories of Carl Jung, a psychologist who founded analytical psychology and proposed the developed concepts of Extraversion and Introversion. It is a 49 piece display of vinyl covers designed on the four Jungian categories: the shadow, the ego, the psyche and the soul image. The project has been designed as a social experiment to see what image viewers are directly drawn to. Once chosen the viewer can search the companion website to discover the meaning of the image, in terms of Jungian theory."

49 square images for display, acoompanied with matching envelope that reveal which Jungian catagory that image relates to.
