Description:

Figurative landscape of the Coigach region with Stac Pollaidh and Suilven in the distance.

Artist statement:
"We moved to Aberdeen circa the New Year of 1951. We travelled to Ullapool and Northwards in 1960, always staying in a cottage at Achnahaird and becoming familiar with the hills of Cogiach. We continued by Cul Mor and Cul Beag and Northwards to Suilven and onwards to Cape Wrath and Eastwards. My practice always was to draw and then use a drawing that looked promising to transfer accurately to the board and work on it in the winter months."

The artist was a Lecturer at Gray's School of Art until 1980
