Description:

2/4 of a series of close up photographs of traditional Fair Isle pattern jumpers from the Scottish Knitwear Series. Text reads:
Child’s sweater, hand knitted in Bigton, Shetland.
For a child’s garment the traditional fairisle banding is reduced to a 9 row main pattern with 4 row borders; also wools are untypically colourful. As in all true fairisles the sweater is hand knitted in the round and has now side seams.
