Black and white photograph of female figure with constellation like pattern superimposed.

Artist's statement 1:
"As the world descends into chaos it is rare that we are asked to just stop and contemplate. Is it possible for a person to be fully conscious of the impact they are having on the world whilst also involving themselves in it?
This work attempts to sensitively deconstruct the world as I see it, by inspecting the elements involved in the construction both aesthetically and culturally using video, photography, found objects and installation. Using these media I survey and document
the space that I inhabit and question if physical space and outer space has an effect on human psychology."

Artist's statement 2:
"My work considers outer space as an opportunity to reflect upon the obscure, and to escape the realities of a dysfunctional earth. The work created indicates that there is a connection between the stars, the planets, the ocean, the object, and the person.
Beyond the lone human are worlds that spin within worlds, each a personal cosmos. As I deconstruct the universe, the planets and technology dematerialize into geometric shapes and fragments of light and colour."
