Description:

This scientific experiment consisted of a payload developed by the RGU School of Engineering. The payload carried two educational experiments which had to fit within available space on board the Space Shuttle Endeavour.
The first experiment focussed upon low-level gravitational forces by measuring their effect on a heated liquid.
The second took the form of a series of experiments to study the effects of space flight on the germination of oat, wheat barley and rape seeds.
The children of Elrick Primary School also grew seeds at their School and the comparison of how the seedlings grew in zero gravity and on planet earth was an important feature of the project.
