I remember being influenced by a German wood engraver Otto Rohse whose works I had found in one of the library books. Perhaps Motif or a Graphis magazine. I had a few pages photocopied and have them still. I liked the way he used pattern plus it was refreshingly unlike any traditional British engraving…
