It reads:
Chromolithographs of the Principal Objects in the Art Collections of the South Kensington Museum (now known as the Victoria and Albert Museum).
The chromolithographs are to be executed in the best possible manner from coloured drawings produced under the direction of Mr Redgrave R.A., the Inspector-General for Art, and the best lithographers of any country may be employed in the production of them.
These prints were produced between the years 1864-1868.
