Description:
Passionate about illustration, I try to incorporate my illustrative skills into all my projects, resulting in one-of-a-kind designs, artworks and creative solutions. My display is based around themes of femininity and body positivity.
I have tried to compose images with the use of limited colour palettes. Attempting to create a scene with such a limited number of colours in quite a playful and exciting approach, which I found that I really enjoyed. It was also useful to work within a set of self-imposed constraints, which helped promote a disciplined approach. My aim was to create a distinctive style and push my illustrations further into new territory. I believe I have succeeded in developing an illustration style that is appropriate for editorial use.
John Lewis Project:
The idea behind this design is for the customers to feel as if they’re peeking inside the scene through a pair of binoculars. This illustrated display consists of several layers or illustrations, which combine to create an eye-catching dimensional scene. Visible from far away, the display makes hurried commuters stop for a closer look inside the window. The longer they look, the more they see! This design reflects the cross-category nature of the brand, as well as the changing shopping habits of its customers.
