Description:

Artist statement:
"Familiar Ideas / Impossible Ideals Parts I and II’ is a framed diptych which transforms the unloved, utilitarian, ubiquitous wooden pallet into a precision piece of aspirational design by presenting exact half scale hand-made models in both ‘pure’ white and ‘decorative’ colour. In taking time to make such mundane objects I aim to invite associations related to manual skill, patience and craftsmanship in comparison to machine labour, global economics and aesthetics of mass production."
