Artist Statement:

Storytelling, along with its ability to immerse its audience in a mood related to a fictional setting, is the main topic of my Honours year practice. In my development, I looked into how to achieve complex emotion by combining separate elements of storytelling. By observing the public references of film, objects and texture, and placing them in relation to less empirically imprinted features, I realise it was possible to create more comoplex emotions towards a piece. Hence, "Yolk' is a multimedia project developed around looking into ways of telling a story, which in turn allows for different pieces of information to come together through different media. It consisted of a short film, a comic, two small sculptures, a risograph print and an Instagram account. Also see ww.yolk.site
