A pencil sketch of Schoolhill, Aberdeen with Ross Court in the foreground.

Attended Aberdeen Grammar School and Studied at School of Architecture. Apprentice at Matthews and McKenzie [1883-88] and a partner at Kelly and Nicol from 1902. Became a Governor and Chairman of the Arts and Crafts Committee (info from Jim Fiddes, retired RGU librarian, 2010)
