The drawing and reproduction on display here provide us with an insight into how the renowned Aberdeenshire-born designer worked to prepare disigns for his suites of garments. The brown envelopes hold the many design ppattern templates used to aid and guidethe development, manufacture and completion of Bill Gibb's final garments. Representstional graphic images were attached to the envelopes as a visual reference.
