Description:

This object was created for a 3 dimensional story board showing the stages of making a pot. This featured in the 20 years of Ceramics at Grays exhibition.

Brian Shand has been making functional pottery in Portsoy since 1972.

"I get excited about making on the wheel - especially large pieces which I like to decorate and enhance with brushstrokes and extrusions. Functionality is key - pieces are to be used and I get great delight in seeing my pots with food in them...etc..."
