This composition featuring juxtaposed imagery including a transmitter tower, a roller coaster rail track and a reproduction portrait of Rembrandt is by Neil Gall. Originally from Aberdeen, Neil Gall is now a successful London-based painter. The artist works with a number of processes including modelling, assemblage, photography and oil painting. Having received a BA in painitng at Gray's School of Art, the artist proceedeed to study at the Slade School of Art in London in 1991. He has received numerous awards including the Abby Major Award in 1993 from The British School at Rome, the Jerwood Painting Prize in 1999 and was the artist in residence at Durham Cathedral in 1993. Neil Gall is currently represented by the David Nolan Gallery in New York.
