Man’s sweater, hand knitted in Bigton, Shetland.
A variant on traditional fairisle banding, the main pattern being 9 rows interspersed with 5 row borders. The shaded ribbing incorporating all the colours used in the garment is a traditional feature. As in all true fairisles the sweater is hand knitted in the round and has now side seams.
