Description:

Figurative composition comprising of various juxtaposed imagery including a lightbulb, an image of Marilyn Monroe, a radio and text elements. RGU purchase prize.

Artist's statement:-

I have composed these prints with the intention of creating a visual language that will communicate my ideas with the masses. I am interested in popular and private imagery combined to form a unique narrative.
I have used a variety of drawings, photographs, cuttings, fabrics and textures to create a very graphic digital image and a selection of screenprints. I have enjoyed coupling text with images, taking both out of their original context and merging to create a new multi-layered aesthetic of shape, colour and form.
