Description:

A composition featuring the rigging of fishing boats in Arbroath harbour.

Artist's proof etching.

Allan Robb was the first student from Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen to be accepted for the (then) three-year postgraduate course at the Royal College of Art, London (1969-1972).

We believe this print was inspired by a summer spent in and around Arbroath following the young artist having received a Patrick Allan Fraser scholarship which allowed young artists to focus on their practice whilst living in Hospitalfield House on the outskirts of the town.
