Artist's statement:
"Living in the countryside gives me an opportunity to directly experience the landscape in its rawest state, everything poised and full of potential. Change emerging through felt sensation, direct observation and not through calendar calculation. The stillness of my surroundings allows me to directly observe the energy that flows through everything.
Science also informs my work. I am particularly interested in time, consciousness, entropy, complexity and dark matter. It is not just an illustration of already realised scientific principles, but a personal uncovering of how things are, a sensory, embodied discovery of the environment that is a valid mode of research and discovery in its own right."
